I wrote a few weeks ago about our efforts to digitize, score, and restore the 1918 science fiction cliffhanger serial The Master Mystery. That work continues, and as it does, we’ve found a few other, related items. Namely the novelization and a great audiobook of that novelization from Project Gutenburg and LibriVox.

It’s a fun story, and I’ve really enjoyed working on the film. Stumbling across the audiobook today has been a real treat. Unlike the film, which is missing several chapters, the audiobook is complete and (so far at least) significantly easier to follow than the film serial.
